The Process

Corporate Tax Registration: How It Works

Corporate tax registration is done through the EmaraTax portal, managed by the Federal Tax Authority. Every business must complete registration before the deadline set by the FTA based on their licence issue date.

Missing the deadline results in a penalty of AED 10,000. We review everything before submission so your registration goes through cleanly.

  1. Eligibility and Entity Review

    01

We review your company type, licence details, activity, and ownership structure to determine your registration requirements, applicable tax rate, and any potential exemptions or relief.

  2. Document Preparation

    02

We identify and review all documents needed for corporate tax registration, including trade licence, financial records, passport copies, and business details, before submission.

  3. EmaraTax Account Setup

    03

We set up or access your EmaraTax account and enter all required business and entity information accurately.

  4. Registration Submission

    04

We complete and submit the corporate tax registration application, ensuring all information is accurate and consistent with your trade licence and FTA records.

  5. Tax Registration Number Issuance

    05

Once approved, you receive your corporate tax registration number. We confirm the details and advise you on your next steps, including your first tax period and filing deadline.

  6. Post-Registration Advisory

    06

We explain your ongoing corporate tax obligations including accounting requirements, return filing dates, record-keeping rules, and how to handle taxable income correctly.

From eligibility review to your Tax Registration Number — corporate tax registration handled end to end by FTA-approved tax agents.

  • Incorrect Tax Return — penalties can reach 50% of the unpaid tax for a first offence if you understate the tax due, increasing for repeated failures.
